Diana Lynn Chabot

Diana L. Chabot, 66, of Barton City, passed away Saturday, May 1, 2021 at her home. Born December 10, 1954 to Elmer and Marvel (Kelly) Rifenbark in Alpena, she has been a lifelong resident of the area. On February 7, 1983 she married Ronald Chabot. They were residents of Barton City where Diana owned and operated Chabot Adult Foster Care. Diana was a devoted caregiver, who was the rock of her family. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Diana is survived by her children, Allen (Tonya) Rifenbark of Barton City, Melissa Cole of Glennie, Laurie (Marc) Chabot of Glennie, Scott (Erin) Chabot of Barton City, Connie (Mike) Corkins of Howell, MI, Brian (Delores) Chabot of Brighton, MI, Rick (Pat) Chabot of Dexter, MI, Greg (Robin) Chabot of Gainesville, FL, Angela (Karl) Kisor of Brooklyn, MI, and Debra Gregory of Brighton, MI, 17 beloved grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren, two sisters, Roxanne (Marvin) Dean, and Pamela Rifenbark, six brothers, Melvin Rifenbark, Doug (Kathy) Rifenbark, Ronnie (Kelly) Rifenbark, Kevin (Shannon) Rifenbark, John (Kathy) Chabot, and Tom Chabot, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Chabot is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln where friends may call on Thursday, May 6, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday, May 7, 2021 from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery in Barton City.
