Dennis Lighton

Dennis M. Lighton, 90, of Lincoln, passed away Monday, October 14, 2024 at his home. 

Born April 11, 1934, to Melvin W. and Leona (Raetz) Lighton in what is now Royal Oak, MI, he was raised there. Dennis served in the US Army from 1954-1956. On September 7, 1957, he married Marilyn Wyka in Hamtramck, where they lived for several years. Dennis owned and operated Lighton’s Lawnmower Sales and Service in Birmingham, MI. A longtime resident of Berkley, Dennis has been a member of Lost Lake Woods Club since 1980. He retired and moved to LLWC in 2000, where he enjoyed leading the Maintenance Group every Wednesday. Dennis enjoyed camping, hunting, and woodworking. He was a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Black River. 

Dennis is survived by his wife, Marilyn, two daughters, Denise (Alfredo) Diaz, and Julie Ann Lighton, his son, Gerard Dennis Lighton, and two grandchildren, Monica and Benjamin Smith. He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. 

Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. A memorial service will be announced in the near future.
