Dawn M. Lyons

Dawn Mary Stone Lyons, 88, of Lincoln, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community, where she had resided since 2021. Dawn was born June 16, 1934, to Theodore and Mildred (Farrend) Stone in Flushing, MI, the fourth of five children. Her last living sibling, Nancy Randall resides in Flint. Dawn married James J. Lyons in 1949. They resided on the farm for over 50 years, where she was often found in the barn yard or in her gardens. Dawn was a devoted stay at home mother, until 1973 when she pursued a nursing career. She loved caring for people. Dawn is survived by her son Jesse J. Lyons of Owosso, MI, her daughter Candice I. (Alex) Mulholland of Lincoln, seven grandchildren, Michael Lyons, Sabrina Lyons, Jeremy Lyons, Joshua Lyons, Jeffrey Lyons, Shannon Ahearn, and Brandon Adams, and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband James Lyons, her son Charles Jay Lyons, and her brothers, George, Ken, and Dar Stone. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
