Darryl E. Daroczy

Darryl E. Daroczy, 64, of Lincoln, passed away Sunday, March 12, 2023, at his home.

Born December 31, 1958, to Joseph and OlaMae (Luttenburger) Daroczy in Detroit, MI, he was raised there and in Alcona County, where he resided for most of his life.  Darryl worked as a contractor and spent many years with the Barton City Volunteer Fire Department as a first responder.  He was a member of the Barton City Eagles Aerie 4141.  He enjoyed photography and wildlife and loved to play golf. 

Darryl is survived by three children, Joe (Cheryl) Daroczy of Stafford VA, Jessica (Keith) VanHurk of Colorado Springs, CO, and Angie Savoy-Kennedy of Southgate, MI, five grandchildren, four siblings, Joseph “Chris” (Anita) Daroczy, Susan (Harry) Harvey, David (Debra) Daroczy, and JoAnn (Dan) O’Connor, as well as several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Darryl is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where visitation will take place on Saturday, March 18, 2023 from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM.  There will be a celebration of Darryl’s life following at 4:00 PM at the Barton City Bar and Grill.  Memorial donations are suggested to the Barton City Volunteer Fire Department.
