Daniel A. Stanowski

Daniel A. Stanowski, 66, of Barton City, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at his home. Born September 23, 1955 to Roman and Olga (Grzla) Stanowski Sr. in Wyandotte, MI, he was raised in Romulus. Dan worked as a Truck Driver for Sabadash & Sabadash and as a cement man, but he was best known as “Handyman Dan”. He could often be found in his shop, where he enjoyed working on anything with a motor. Dan was a “Jack of all trades” and enjoyed snowplowing, cutting grass, camping, and playing pool. On June 14, 1996, he married Colleen Shine. They moved to Barton City in 1997. Dan is survived by his wife, Colleen, two children, Gloria Sitz and David Stanowski, twelve grandchildren including Dover and Devin Shepard, Kara Stanowski, Kayla Price, Kristen Moore, Jenna Richardson (Jeremiah Hill), and Kirsten (Josh) Kleinhans, seven great grandchildren, four brothers, Roger (Clare) Stanowski, Roman B. (Bonnie Mullins) Stanowski Jr.,, Edward F. Stanowski, and Ricky J. Luczak, and his “Up North” Family, Jimmy Jam, Michelle, Marco, Brad, Allison, and Carlos. He was preceded in death by his son Daniel Stanowski Jr. on September 20, 2008, and his sister-in-law, Gloria Stanowski. Visitation will be Saturday, September 17, 2022 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation continues at the funeral home on Sunday, September 18 from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery, Barton City.
