Clayton "Gene" Gill

Clayton Gene Gill, 86, of Harrisville, passed away Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at his home.   Born April 15, 1932 to William and Sarah Grace (Goddard) Gill in Gladstone, MI, he was raised in Mikado.  Gene served in the U.S. Army, and was honorably discharged in 1956.  On December 7, 1957, he married Gladys Good in Harrisville.  Gene worked as a cement finisher in Flint, and an Iron Worker for Dobson Heavy Haul in Bay City.  He retired in 1987.  Gene enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and travelling.    Gene is survived by his wife, Gladys, four children, Alan (Patricia) Gill of Mikado, Sharilynn Gill of Mikado, Sandra (Lonnie) Travis of Mikado, and Jeffery Gill of Florida, four grandchildren, Amy Quillen, Shane Gill, Dessie (Alisha) Procunier, and Eric Gill, and seven great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by two sisters, Louanne Gill and Rhoda Frayer.    Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.  A memorial service will be announced at a later date.  To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Clayton "Gene" Gill, please visit our flower store.
