Clara M. Simon

Clara M. Simon, 86, of Lincoln, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018 at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey. Born September 12, 1932 to Fred and Muriel (Travis) Lee in Mikado, she was a lifelong resident of the area.  Clara was a devoted homemaker, and an avid quilter.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lincoln, and of the Alcona Needlecrafters.  Clara is survived by two daughters, Bonnie (Dan) Monroe and Shirley (Tom) Dankow, one son, Douglas (Linda) Atchison, six grandchildren, Lynn (Matt) Griffor, Nathan (Jessica) Alexander, Eric Munroe, Kevin (Jeanene) Munroe, John (Shannon) Atchison, and Chelsea (Don) Neuenfeldt, eleven great grandchildren, Alycia and Tyler Munroe, Donovan and Claire Borg, Ashley, Parker, and Matti Griffor, Evan, Grace, and Ryan Atchison, and Milo Neuenfeldt, one brother, and one sister.  She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.  Ms. Simon is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where friends may call on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM.  Visitation will continue on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the First Baptist Church in Lincoln from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM.  Rev.
