Charlton (Chuck) Lee passed into his Heavenly Home, late Monday night, July 26th, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital in Tawas, Michigan, at the age of 92. Chuck, as he was most frequently called, was born to Fred & Muriel Lee of Mikado, MI, on 4/08/1929. Joining 9 other sibilings. During the summer of 1948, Chuck moved to St. Clair Shores to work for Charles Scheel as a mechanic and employee at the C. Scheel Standard Oil Service Station. The following May 8, 1949 he married Gloria Mae Scheel. They had 6 children. The summer of 1962 Chuck moved his family from St. Clair Shores to Oscoda, MI, and sold the C. Scheel station to George and Patricia Kravitz, in 1963. Chuck and his brother Herschel Lee, operated Lee’s Western Auto, a cottage patrol and snowplowing business. Chuck went to Camp Nissokone (YMCA Camp) in Oscoda to serve as Resident Manager until his retirement in 1995. Gloria Mae Lee passed away on February 7th, 2011, after 62 years of marriage. Lifetime friends – George and Patricia Kravitz, experienced the passing of George Kravitz in March of 2014. These good friends both alone with much in common…Chuck and Patricia married on April 17, 2015, living in both Oscoda, and St. Clair Shores… Joining now two families to have 10 children and spouses. Chuck is survived by his wife Patricia Kravitz Lee, Vicki (Charlie) Huffman, Ron (Janet) Lee, Mickie (Sherry) Lee, Tim (Nancy) Lee, Tom (Krissy) Lee, Sandy (deceased Ronald) Hohrein, Mary (Bruce) Scott, John (Sandra) Kravitz, George (Amy) Kravitz, Laura(Kevin Brown) Kravitz. Siblings and their wives Teresa Rudolph, Millie Lee – Sister – in-law, and Norma Lee – Sister in-law. Grandchildren: Becky (Nicholas) Gomez, Matt (Julie) Huffman, Tammy (John) Buffington, Jerry (Jen) Lee, Will (Lynn) Lee, Casey (Sara) Lee, Donnie (Wendy) Lee, Andrea (Erik) Peterson, Brandon (Jaimie) Hohrein, Justin (Sami) Hohrein, Crystal (Max) Day, Jill (Tylor) Witulski, Danielle Kendziorski, Halie Kendziorski, Bruce (Johnna) Scott, Jenny (Matt) Roussin, Katie Kravitz, Alex Kravitz, Emily Kravitz, Julia Kravitz, George Kravitz, Caroline Kravitz, and Ashley Tengler. Terry Larson Welch – close niece. 22 Great grandchildren. Many beloved friends that have enriched Chuck’s life beyond words and nieces & nephews. Chuck was active in serving his Lord at Oscoda Baptist Church and later at Calvary Baptist Church in Mikado. He served on the Oscoda Township Board as well as the Volunteer Fire Dept. Chuck enjoyed deer and turkey hunting, gardening and working in the woods. GOD and people were his focus. Predeceased: Fred & Muriel Lee – parents. Gloria Lee, wife. Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Charlton (Chuck) Lee will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 7th, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Mikado, MI. Masks are very encouraged.
