Charles L. Snyder

Charles Larry Snyder, 82 passed at home, in Lincoln, on Saturday, April 30, 2022. He was born March 30, 1940 to Charles and Marian (Hale) Snyder. Charles graduated from Marshall High School in 1958. He attended Michigan State University from 1958 to 1963and earned a degree in Agriculture Farming. He taught at the Coldwater Career Center. Charles then accepted the position of State Director with Michigan State University in the Future Farmers Agriculture Program for 40 years. Charles also enjoyed sports and was state certified for all high school sports. He was an umpire for baseball and a referee for football and basketball for 35 years. Charles loved teaching his students. He served as a Masonic Temple Shriner and would take the kids to Chicago for treatments. He was also a volunteer fireman for the Lincoln area. Charles is survived by his brother, Jerry (Bev) Snyder and sisters Beaulah O’Leary, Marie DeLano, and longtime companion Linda Batchelor. Preceding Charles in death were his parents Charles and Marian Snyder, his brother Wayne Snyder, and sisters Donna More and Louanne Brewer. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 13, 2022 at 12:00 Noon with visitation at 11:00 AM at the Masonic Lodge #292 Lincoln, MI.
