Charles N. Champagne

Charles N. Champagne, 87, of Harrisville passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at his home. Born August 20, 1934 to Nelson and Glendola (Wier) Champagne in Harrisville, he was raised there. Charles served in the US Army. On June 20, 1956 he married Ruth McLaren in Killmaster. A longtime resident of Burton, Charles worked for General Motors in Flint. He retired in 1987 to Harrisville. He enjoyed “tinkering” on cars, televisions and working with electric and plumbing. He loved listening to banjo music. Charles is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Zepeda, two granddaughters, Tonya Zepeda and Shannon Earl, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth on July 18, 2016, his daughter Bambi Earl on July 5, 2021, and two brothers, George and Robert Champagne.
