Carl W. Wolfe, 60, of Curran passed away Tuesday August 14, 2018 at U of M Hospital in Ann Arbor. Born November 15, 1957, to Carl and Edith (Thalman) Wolfe in Dearborn Heights, MI, he was raised in Plymouth, MI. Carl served in the U.S. Army, where he received the training to become a certified master diesel mechanic. After his honorable discharge, he worked at Detroit Diesel. In 1999, he moved to Curran, where he owned and operated Wolfe Creek Farm. He spent his free time helping his Curran neighbors by fixing cars, working on equipment, or helping on the farm. Carl loved wood, often building things, including his three-story barn. He enjoyed fishing the Ausable River in his canoe while his friends followed in tubes. Carl is survived by his sister, Cathy (Rick) Stearns, two nieces, Aubree (Dustin) Friesenhahn and Emily (Karl) Weichold, and three great nieces Harper, Grace, and Georgia Friesenhahn as well as numerous friends in the Curran Community, whom Carl loved dearly. Visitation will be Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Curran House of Prayer from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Pastor Mitch DeJarlais will officiate. Burial will be in the Curran Cemetery. A celebration of his life will follow at the Curran Township Hall.
