Betty Campbell, 92, of Harrisville, passed away Thursday, May 7, 2020, at Maple Grove Adult Foster Care. Born January 16, 1928 to Louis and Sarah (Merrick) Dault of Alpena, and she was raised there. On May 1, 1954, she married Bruce Campbell. They were residents of Harrisville, where they owned and operated a farm. Betty attended County Normal, and was a kindergarten teacher. She was a bus driver with Alcona Schools for 27 years. Betty was a member of Harrisville United Methodist Church. She was a former Cub Scouts Den Leader. Betty enjoyed quilting, decorating cakes, canning, and baking, especially cookies and bread. Betty is survived by two sons, Terry (Linda) Campbell of Harrisville, and Duane (Kathy) Campbell of Mt. Pleasant, her daughter-in-law, Ginger Campbell, and five grandchildren, Jamie (Jim) Baker, Rebecca (Andrew) Sikes, Jessica (Ben Apsey) Campbell, and Christopher (Janine) Campbell, Laura (Steve) Barkus. She had seven great grandchildren, Harper, Hudson, and Avery Sikes and one expected in June, and Zachary and Caroline Campbell, and Haley and Ronan Barkus. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce on June 8, 2016, her son Louis Campbell on December 28, 2018, and her great grandchild Cristin Steiner and two sisters and three half sisters. Family graveside services will be held at Mt. Joy Cemetery May 23, at 2:00, in Haynes Township. Arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
