Beatrice R. Peggie, 85, of Mikado, passed away Monday, September 14, 2020 at MidMichigan Medical Center, Alpena. Born July 28, 1935 to Merle and Margaret (Lerette) Anderson in Harrisville, MI, she was a lifelong resident of Alcona County. A devoted homemaker, Beatrice was an excellent baker, known for her raspberry pie, chocolate chip cookies, and apple cake among other treats. She enjoyed cooking, especially holiday dinners and cross stitch. Beatrice was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mikado, and of the Mikado Goodfellows. Beatrice is survived by four children, Eugene Fowler, Annie (Doug) Romatz, Charlie (Joanne) Fowler, and Roy Fowler, seven grandchildren, Amanda and Matthew Romatz, Wayne Fowler, Shannon Inman, Dustin Davis, Becka Foster, and Wyatt Arkwood, four great grandchildren, Mason Elders, Jordyn Spencer, Sawyer Inman, Colton Foster, with more on the way, and two brothers, Neil (Beatrice) and Wayne (Nancy) Anderson. She was preceded in death by her great grandchild, Grayson Romatz. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. There will be a memorial service Saturday, September, 19, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Greenbush Community Church. Rev. A.C. Caincross will officiate. Memorial donations are suggested to the Mikado Goodfellows or to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
