Anthony J. Grant

Anthony Joseph Grant of Ossineke, passed away on Tuesday, August 9th, 2022. Tony was born on April 7th, 1944 in Oscoda, MI to the parents of Evelyn and George Grant. After graduating from Oscoda high school he went on to get his degree from Central Michigan University. His teaching career started at Unionville, Sebewaing schools where he taught math and coached football and softball. He later became principal of the middle school, high school and also became the director of the athletic department. After 30 years he retired and spent his time enjoying his beloved camp with friends and family. Tony is survived by his brother Jim and Maryanne Grant, sister Marsha Gould, and many nieces and nephews. Tony was preceded in death by his sister Beverly Ferguson, brother George Grant, brother Gerald Grant, brother Patrick Grant, and brother Thomas Grant. Per Tony’s expressed wishes a celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
