Andrew J. DalPizzol, 76, of Harrisville, passed away Monday, June 18, 2018 at his home. Born March 20, 1942 to Peter and Vita (Ingrassia) DalPizzol in Detroit, MI, he was raised there. In 1962 he married Judy M. Chene in Detroit, where they lived until moving to Berkley. Andy retired from Chrysler in Detroit as a superintendent in 1979 and they moved to Hillman where he managed a hunting club. In 1984 they bought the Oscoda Resort, and managed it until 1991, during which time he also worked part time at Oscoda Area Schools. Judy preceded him in death on April 13, 1996. Andy worked at the Harrisville Hardware until it closed, and he began working at Community Mental Health in Oscoda. On June 27, 1998, he married the former Virginia Smith in Harrisville. Andy was a member of the Harrisville Harbor Commission, the Harrisville Township Zoning Board. He enjoyed guns, cars, and motorcycles. Andy is survived by his wife, Virginia, one daughter, Deborah (Brian) Waters of Almont, one son, James (Heather Perry) DalPizzol of Oscoda, three step children, Leah (Scott) Schesser of Japan, Erin Keller of Brookfield WI, and Andrew (Kelly) Keller of Las Vegas NV, three grandchildren, James and Justin Waters and Paige DalPizzol, eleven step grandchildren, Emily, Lily, and Katelyn Schesser, Noelle, Matthew, and Micah McGowan, Aryn, Claire, Jackson, and Benjamin Kealy, and Michael Keller, one sister, Rose (Rick) Brown, and one brother John (Janet) DalPizzol. He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, Arcangelo Andreotta, and his stepdaughter, Rebecca Kealy. Mr. DalPizzol is at Gillies Funeral Home in Harrisville, where friends may call on Saturday, June 23, from 3:00 until 8:00 PM. Private Interment will be at Springport Cemetery, Harrisville.
