Ted Hegedus

Theodore Hegedus, 85, of Harrisville, passed away February 17, at Iosco Medical Care Facility. Born on June 3, 1921 to Albert and Mary (Hric) Hegedus in Uniontown Pennsylvania, he was raised in Michigan. Ted served in the United States Navy during World War II> On May 27, 1944, he married Jean Albert in Melvindale. They lived in Traverse City for 18 years, and Ted worked in Sheet Metal for John Haggard Plumbing and Heating in Charlevoix. They moved to Northeastern Michigan in 2006, where Ted enjoyed his retirement. He is survived by his wife Jean, daughters Sandra (Albert) Luna of Grosse Ile, MI, and Jill Hegedus of Harrisville, son James (Donna) Hegedus of Bellaire, MI, seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters and 6 brothers. Mr. Hegedus is at Gillies Funeral Home, Harrisville where visistation will take place on Monday from 4 until 8 pm. Visitation will continue on Tuesday from noon until the Funeral Service at 2:00 PM, officiating.
