Norman Apsey, 93 of Lincoln, passed away Monday, January 29, 2007, at Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community, in the presence of his family. Born on October 28, 1913 to Delbert and Inez (Walker) Apsey, he lived most of his life in Hawes Township. He married Alice Ritchie on November 9, 1940. He farmed most of his life, and had a great love for gardening. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, who had many exciting experiences to share. In his younger years, he attended the First Baptist Church of Lincoln. He is survived by his wife, Alice, sons Wayne (Veronica), Roy (Beverley), and Lloyd all of Lincoln, 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren, sisters Hazel (Russell) Wallenmaier of Mikado, and Dorothy (Jack) Cole of Lincoln, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky, sisters; Mary Buchner, Irene Ritchie, brothers; Robert Apsey, Howard Apsey, Ray Apsey, Kenneth Apsey, and Richard Apsey. Mr. Apsey is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will take place on Wednesday from 2 until 5 and from 6a until 8pm. Visitation continues on Thursday at 3:30, until the Funeral Service at 4:30pm. Rev. Arnie Kirschner will officiate. Burial will be in Twin Lakes Cemetery, in the spring.
