Virginia R. Holly, 88 of Lincoln (Lost Lake Woods Club), died Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at Tendercare Greenview in Alpena, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease. Born on October 21, 1918 to Thomas and Bertha (Frank) Rodgers in Reading, Michigan she was raised there. She attended Eastern Michigan University. On July 3, 1939 she married Lynn J. Holly, they resided in Ypsilanti where she was president of the Zonta Club, and was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. She was involved in many Women’s Groups, and was an avid reader and golfer. She retired after 30 years as an Executive Secretary with Ford Motor Company, World Headquarters in Dearborn. In 1980 she and Lynn moved to Lost Lake Woods Club. Lynn preceded her in death on July 28, 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Marcia L. Brown of Brooklyn, and two sons, Gerald(Charlene) and James (Betty) all of Milan; five grandchildren, Chad (Kerri)Chrysler, Jana (Joe) Creps, Jason Holly, Jennifer (Greg) Stripp and Ben Holly; four great grandchildren, Shelby Creps, Daniel Drummonds, Leigha and Lauren Chrysler.
