Charles Russell Phillips

Charles R. Phillips,68,of Barton City, died January 4, 2007, at Alpena Regional Medical Center. He was born June 27, 1938 in Newberry to John and Helen (Shelson) Phillips. Chuck served in army in 1957 and had been an auto mechanic. He loved boating, camping, fishing and NASCAR. He was a member of The American Legion Mikado Post 254, Barton City Eagles Aerie 4141 and the Sunrise Moose Lodge#2529. Survivors include four daughters, Paula Collen, Kelly, Vicki, and Rebecca and a son Charles Jr.; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two sisters, Joanne Campbell of Davision and Barbara Hathaway of kingston and two brothers, John of Clio and Peter of Columbiaville. Cremtion arrangements have been made. A memorial service will be announced later.
