Jack M. Wade, 78, of Greenbush, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital. Born March 29, 1932 to Charles and Inez (Godfry) Wade in Ithaca MI, he was raised there and in Mio MI. After high school, Jack joined the United States Army, and served in Korea. On December 6, 1980, he married Linda Gnirs in Vernon, and they were residents of Flint. In 1984 they moved to Harrisville, and then to Greenbush. As his name implies, he was a “Jack of all Trades”, and enjoyed farming, carpentry, painting, and puzzles. He was a member of the Harrisville VFW Post 6466, and of the Family Heritage Baptist Church in Harrisville. Jack is survived by his wife; Linda, daughter; Kayla Wade, son; Chester (Crystal) Wade of Ypsilanti MI, five grandchildren; Zachary and Leesa Wade, Gerald Stoll, and Paul and Xander Fondaw, one sister; Barbara Oberly of Cecil WI, one brother; Steve (Marilyn) Wade of Arlington Heights IL, sister-in-law; Mary Wickham and brother-in-law; Duane Gnirs, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. There will be a memorial service at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at the Family Heritage Baptist Church in Harrisville. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am at the church. Pastor Ernie Ruemenapp will officiate.
