Philip J. Strittmatter

Philip James Strittmatter, 63, of Harrisville, passed away, Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Saginaw St. Mary’s Hospital. Born May 7, 1947 to Marion and Mae (Stephens) Strittmatter, in Highland Park, he was a longtime Clawson resident. Phil served in the United States Army, and was a highly decorated Vietnam Veteran. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife; Mary (Kastler). Phil is survived by his three sons; James, Robert (Katie Wing) and Philip (fiancée Katie Wangler), his grandson; Benjamin, who was the “Apple of his Eye”, brothers and sisters; Richard, Lloyd, Lee, Charlie, Mary, Margaret, Molly and Tom, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Phil is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will take place on Saturday, December 4, from 3 until 8 pm. Funeral Services will be at 1 pm Sunday, December 5, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oxbow Lakeside Cemetery, White Lake Township, Michigan. Memorial Donations suggested to the Harrisville VFW Post 6466.
