Gerald “Jerry” Mondeau, 64, of Bay City, passed away Saturday, November 27, 2010 at Auburn Care Center. Born December 28, 1945, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Eisenacher) Mondeau in Kentucky, he was raised in Black River. At the age of 18, he moved to Bay City and began working for General Motors, retiring in 1993, after 30 years. Jerry was a “homebody” who enjoyed watching western movies, and visiting with his granddaughters. He is survived by two daughters; Candy (Charles) Cunningham and Laine Bissonnette of Bay City, two sons; Kevin Mondeau and Drew Bissonnette of Bay City, five grandchildren; Kimberly, Cassy, Kaylee, Kara, and Carlie. He was preceded in death by a son; Gerald Mondeau II, two brothers; Robert and Virgil Mondeau, and his parents Joseph and Elizabeth Mondeau. Mr. Mondeau is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will take place on Thursday, December 2, from 12pm until the funeral service at 2 pm. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Black River.
