Leanore Waszkiewicz 83 of Mikado died Monday, November 20, 2006 at her home. Born March 15, 1923 to Edward and Hughann (Kennedy) Loyer in Mikado she was a life long resident there. On April 25, 1942 she married Stanley Waszkiewicz he preceded her in death on August 20, 1985. Leanore was employed by Harrisville Tool Co. and later Rolled Products of Oscoda. She has owned and operated Wigs and Things of Oscoda since March 15, 1973. Leanore was a member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church of Mikado. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts, riding snowmobiles and farming. Survivors are her daughter Julie Juiard of Greenbush, a son Stanley (Marcia) of Mikado, three grandchildren, Todd (Anna) Carrico, Regina Good and Lori (Marc) Harmon and six great grand children; a sister Lorena (Cecil) McDonald of Mikado;two brothers, Lavern (Fran) of Farmington Hills, and Hugh of White Lake; Nieces and nephews including Brenda Forsythe Also preceding her in death were her brothers Lawrence and Lester. Friends may call on Thursday, from 5 to 9 at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln where a rosary will be said at 7:00 P.M. Visitation will continue at 10:00 A.M. Friday at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, Mikado, where the mass will begin at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Clarence Smolinski officiating. Burial will be in St. Raphael’s Cemetery, Mikado. Memorials suggested to Alcona Health Dept. District #2.
