Marjorie Hudgins-Brightbill

Marjorie J. Hudgins-Brightbill, 83, passed away November 15, 2010 at Rolling Acres Adult Foster Care in Ossineke. Born March 9, 1927, to Frank and Ida (Krieger) Payne in Detroit, MI, she was raised there. On March 8, 1947, she married Joe Hudgins in Detroit, where they raised their three children. Joe preceded her in death in 1975. In 1979, she married Darwin Brightbill, and they were residents of Port Austin. She was active in the Port Austin Community Church, and the You and I retirement club. Darwin preceded her in death in 1994. In 1996, she married Ron Skibicki, and they were residents of Kinde. Marjorie enjoyed home crafts and traveling. Marjorie is survived by her husband; Ronald, two children; Carol L. (Robert) Saari of Presque Isle, and Stephen (Linda) Hudgins of Lincoln, three grandchildren, two step grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her son; Gary Hudgins in 1981, granddaughter; Stephanie Hudgins in 2003, and by her brother; Irvin Payne. Mrs. Hudgins-Brightbill is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln where visitation will take place on Thursday, November 18 from 11 am until the funeral service at 1 pm. Rev. Herb Kitzman will officiate. Burial will be in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, on Friday November 19. Memorial donations suggested to Hospice of Michigan.
