Leon “Lonzo”, “Lonnie” Ross Jr., 42, of Lincoln, passed away Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. Born November 1, 1968 to Terry and Judith (Pierson) Cox in Hamilton, Ohio, he was raised there. On July 27, 1991, he married Georgetta Howard in Gratis, Ohio, and they resided there until moving to Lincoln Michigan in 2006. Lonnie loved to read, and had a knack for fixing computers. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing, and spending good times with his family. He is survived by his wife, Georgetta, his father; Terry Cox of Lincoln, brother; Wayne Shipman of Minnesota, three sisters-in-law; Roxanna (James) Woodruff of Dayton OH, Terri (Richard) Woods of Cincinnati OH, and Valerie Howard of Eaton OH, father-in-law; George Howard of Covington OH, aunt; Barbara Cox of Lincoln, and dear friend Sherri Weiner of Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his mother; Judith Cox, sister; Tamara Cox, mother-in-law; Ramona Howard, brother-in-law; Frederick Howard, uncle; Jerry Cox, and dear friend; John Weiner. Cremation arrangements are being handled by Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, Michigan.
