Roy C. Spencer

Roy C. Spencer, 61, of Lincoln, passed away Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at Tawas St. Joseph Hospital. Born April 10, 1949, to Warren and Rita (VanDusen) Spencer in Sault Ste. Marie he was raised there. On January 26, 1980, he married Barbara Spencer in Harrisville, and 1984 they moved to Lincoln. Roy loved the out of doors, especially Bass fishing, hunting, traveling and camping. He loved his work with Kalitta Airlines as a Jet Engine Mechanic. He is survived by his wife; Barbara, three children; Allen (Kathy) Spencer of Comstock Park, MI, Brenda (Dave) Finley, of Clinton Township, and Lance (Deborah) Spencer of Cottonwood, AL, 5 grandchildren; Christopher, Kerry, Brianna, Kaitlin, and Kylee, his mother; Rita Spencer of Sault Ste. Marie, one sister; Gail (Cliff) Blose of Manistique, MI, two brothers; Gary (Pam) Spencer of Dafter, MI, and Glen Spencer of Pickford, MI, his mother-in-law and father-in-law; Les and Millie Donaldson of Lincoln, one sister-in-law; Brenda (Chester) Kowalski and one brother-in-law; Wayne (Marcela) Donaldson. Mr. Spencer is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will take place on Friday, November 5th from 4 pm until 8 pm. Visitation continues on Saturday, from 11 am until the funeral service at 1 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mt Joy Cemetery.
