Thomas W. Yeoman, 82, of Black River, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at his home. Born October 21, 1928 to Thomas and Ethelyn (Keller) Yeoman in Detroit, he was raised there and in Gaylord. On July 27, 1947, he married Madeleine St. Aubin in Gaylord, and they moved to Midland, where Tom worked as a foreman for Dow Chemical. In 1985, they retired to Black River. Tom loved hunting and fishing, and was an avid woodworker. He also enjoyed NASCAR. He was also a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association. Tom is survived by his wife; Madeleine, two daughters; Rosemary (Charles) Robacker and Ethel (Darwin) Snyder of Summerfield FL, two sons; Thomas (Carol) Yeoman, and Robert (Joanne) Yeoman of Midland, MI, eleven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one brother Charles (Geraldine) Yeoman of Victoria, TX. He was preceded in death by his daughter; Yvonne Marie Yeoman, and two sisters; Charlotte Canute and Barbara Dempster. Mr. Yeoman is at Gillies Funeral Home, Harrisville, where funeral services will be on Saturday, October 30, at 1:00 PM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Rev. Lawrence Boks will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Joy Cemetery, Haynes Township, Michigan. Memorial Donations suggested to Hospice of Michigan, Northeastern Unit.
