Elinor Maj

Elinor Maj, 75, of Lincoln, passed away Friday, November 17, 2006, at her home. She was born on November 8, 1931 in Hillsdale, Michigan to Charles and Jennie (Reynolds) Huffman. She was a member of St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Mikado, and volunteered at St. Vincent De Paul. On September 25, 1949, she married Dale E. Byce. He preceded her in death on January 12, 1990. On November 14, 1992, she married Henry Maj. He preceded her in death on October 23, 2001. Elinor is survived by a daughter Marsha (Calvin) Mahalak, two sons, Dale (Kathy Jo) Byce, and Charles (Stephanie) Byce, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, two step daughters, Debbie (Rob) Wilds, and Gina Boden, three step sons, Mike (Patti) Maj, Johnny (Stephen) Maj, and Tony (Sue) Maj,12 step grandchildren, three sisters, Laura (Howard) Kuenzli, Beatrice (Dick) George, and Kathy Litz, a brother Walter (Norma) Huffman, two brothers in law, Stuart Elmore, and Ernie (Joann) Sanborn. She was preceded in death by sisters Nroma Sanborn amd Marilyn Elmore, brothers in law, Gene Byce, Bill Byce, William Litz, and by a sister in law, Lorraine Byce. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 2, at 1:00 PM at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. Rev. Peter Eke will officiate. Memorials suggested to St. Vincent De Paul.
