Dorothy Brannon

Dorothy M. Brannon, 90 of Barton City died Saturday, November 4, 2006 at Lincoln Haven Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born December 18, 1915 to John and Charity (Boyles) Finley in Salem, Illinois, she was raised there and in Centralia. Dorothy married William L. Brannon on July 8, 1933 in Centralia, where they were . residents until moving to Detroit in 1942. She was employed as supervisor of the dairy department with Great Scott Super Market. Her husband preceded her in death on August 22, 1965. She moved to Barton City in 1986. Also preceding her in death were seven sisters and three brothers. Survivors include her daughter, Betty (Rick) Wohlfeil of Barton City and her son William (KayLynn) Brannon of Summerfield, Florida; six grandchildren, Colleen Boyce, Janine Poppas, Dawn Cooper, John Lask, Michael Brannon and Maureen Brannon and 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Monday, November 6, 2006 at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, with Rev. Laraine Sundin officiating. Burial took place in Grand Lawn Cemetery, Detroit.
