Woodrow Dingess

Woodrow H. Dingess Jr., 66, of Harrisville, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010 at his home. Born January 8, 1944 to Woodrow and Ida (Winters) Dingess Sr., in West Virginia, he lived there until the age of eleven. A longtime resident of the Flint area, Woodrow was employed for over thirty years at the Flint Community Schools. He retired in 2001 and moved to Harrisville. He was an avid U of M football fan, and maintained a video collection of every winning game. Woodrow was a devoted grandfather, and loved his grandchildren dearly. Woodrow is survived by his wife; Annette (Curran) Dingess, one daughter; Bobbi Jo (Joe) Lucas of Fenton, one son; James (Jennifer) Dingess of Alpena, three grandchildren; Emmalyn Dingess and Logan and Mitchell Lucas, two sisters; Leona Perry and Patti Daunt, one brother; David Dingess, and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date in the Flint area. Cremation arrangements handled by Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
