Robert Sawyers

Robert Sawyers, 69, of Lincoln (Lost Lake Woods Club), passed away Thursday, August 5, 2010 at home. Born January 9, 1941, to Thomas and Marion (McKee) Sawyers in Royal Oak, he was raised in Hazel Park. On November 16, 1963, he married Johanna Massa in Hazel Park, and they resided in Utica. Bob and Johanna became members of Lost Lake Woods Club in 1985, where Bob enjoyed hunting and golfing. In 2002 they became full time residents of the club. Robert is survived by his wife Johanna, one daughter; Lisa Sawyers, one son; Todd (Melissa) Sawyers, four sisters; Jean Furnion, Vera Pirl, Alma Mackie, and Joyce Jacks, one brother; Dale Sawyers, and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Saywers’ family will receive friends on Sunday, August 8, from 5 until 8 PM at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. A memorial service will be on Monday, August 9, at 11 am at the funeral home in Lincoln. On Tuesday, August 10, the family will receive friends at the A.J.
