Elmer L. Deller, 96, of Harrisville, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. Born February 15, 1914 to William R. and Mabel (Brown) Deller in Harrisville, he was a lifelong resident of Gustin Township. On March 5, 1938, he married Susie Crevier in Lincoln. Elmer worked as a carpenter, and owned and operated his own farm. He was one of the first County Commissioners for Alcona County, was a former Gustin Township Supervisor, as well as a zoning administrator. He also enjoyed hunting. Susie preceded him in death on January 17, 2001. Elmer is survived by three daughters; Janet (Fred) Thompson of Harrisville, Carol Thompson of Harrison, and Louella (Robert) Shellenbarger of Harrisville, five sons; Connie (Carolyn) of Harrisville, Clifford (Linda) of Mikado, Ronnie (Priscilla) of Harrisville, Paul (Sherie) of Harrisville, and Jim (Diane) of Harrisville, 25 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and one brother William (Anne) Deller of Hubbard Lake. He was preceded in death by two grandsons; David Seymour and Jim Fettes, two sisters; Dorothea LaLonde and Elizabeth Deller, and two brothers; Clifford and Kenneth Deller. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Cremation arrangements have been handled through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
