Jean Sitzman, 94, of Lost Lake Woods Club (Lincoln) died June 22, 2010 at Tendercare Alpena with her daughter at her side. She was born April 23, 1916 in Detroit to Stanley and Frances (Gniatkowska) Wisniewski. On August 7, 1937 she married Raymond J. Sitzman.They were residents of Detroit moving to Grosse Pointe Woods in 1950 and to Lost lake Woods Club in 1980, where they had been members since 1951. Mr. Sitzman preceded her in death on April 30, 1996. She was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church of Ossineke, the Detroit Yacht Club, and a 30 year member of the Auxiliary to the Ossineke Eagles Aerie 3762. She was an avid bridge player. Mrs. Sitzman is survived by her Daughter, Kathleen A. Sitzman of Lincoln, one sister, Lottie (Walter) Jaremski of Westland, two brothers, Eddie Wisniewski of Southfield and Leo Wisniewski of Trenton and several nieces and nephews and her Cat, Molly. Two sisters, Connie Wisniewski and Stella Obert preceded her in death. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 29, 2010 from 2-8 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln where the rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M... Visitation continues at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 30, 2010 at St. Catherine Catholic Church, Nicholson Hill Road, Ossineke, MI., where the funeral liturgy will be at 11:00 A.M. Rev. Stan Bereda will officiate. Burial will be in St. Catherine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Catherine’s or the Alcona Humane Society.
