Gregory John Fraser

Gregory J. Fraser, 45, of Mikado, passed away Tuesday, June 15, 2010. Born March 29, 1965 to Robert and Linda (Moore) Fraser in Oscoda, Michigan, he was raised there and in Maryland. A 1983 graduate of Oscoda High School, Greg went to work for Cooper Standard (ITT Automotive) and has been employed there for 26 years. On July 12, 1986, he married Theresa Beard in Mikado, and she preceded him in death on April 14, 1997. On July 31, 1999, he married Michaela Mayle in Harrisville, and they have been residents of Mikado. Greg was a dedicated volunteer fireman with the Mikado Fire Department since 1997, as well as a first responder, work he found to be very fulfilling. He enjoyed hunting and loved to ride his motorcycle. Greg is survived by his wife Michaela, daughter; Elizabeth of Mikado, four sons; Robert of Oscoda, Matthew of Flint, Michael of Lincoln, and Andrew of Barton City, four stepsons; Ian Lloyd of Mikado, Kiley Seldon of Alpena, Zachary (Kelly) Williams of Grand Rapids and Errol (Meagan Church) Seldon of San Antonio TX, his mother; Linda Davis of Oscoda, his brother; Joel (Joanna) Fraser of AZ.and his niece Kristina Fraser. He was preceded in death by his father; Robert Fraser. Mr. Fraser is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln where visitation will take place on Sunday, June 20 from 3 until 9 pm. Visitation will continue on Monday, June 21 at 10 am at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Mikado until the funeral mass at 11 A.M. with Rev. Robert Bissot officiating. Private burial will be in St. Raphael’s Catholic Cemetery, Mikado. Memorial donations suggested to the American Cancer Society.
