John F. Larson

John F. Larson, 62, of Ossineke, passed away Monday, October 2, 2006 at his home. Born on July 17, 1944 to Fritzoff and Alma (Freer) Larson in Harrisville, he was raised in Spruce. He graduated from Alcona Central High School, and earned a Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University. John taught Industrial Arts at the Junior High level, later teaching at Alpena High School. He also worked for Creative Universals in Southfield, MI writing part books for GM Trucks and Busses. John also owned and operated an auto repair service. On June 15, 1968, he married Ilene Williams in Harrisville. They have been residents of Ossineke for the past 35 years. John was a member of the United Methodist Church, Harrisville. John is survived by his wife Ilene, 2 daughters; Carolyn (Jeff) Waite of Lakeview MI, and Doreen (Brian) Fisher of Big Rapids, MI, and by two granddaughters; Catherine Nicole and Charlotte Jean Fisher.
