George A. Procunier

George A. Procunier, 59, of Harrisville, passed away Friday, April 2, 2010 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. He was born on July 20, 1950, to Peter and Thelma (Kingsley) Procunier in Pontiac, Michigan. George served in the United States Navy, and was a member of the American Legion, Mikado Post #254. On March 15, 1991, he married Kimberley Joan, and they have been residents of Harrisville for the past several years. George is survived by his loving wife, Kimberley, four daughters; Melisse (Andrew) Fribley, Jenny Beck, Shilo Fitzgibbon, and Elizabeth Procunier, one son; George Procunier of Harrisville, 10 grandchildren, one sister; Alice Tubbs, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son; Michael Jacob Procunier on March 15, 2009, and three sisters; Gennie Bruer, Elizebeth Weisenb, and Cathy Smith. Cremation arrangements have been made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. There will be a Memorial Service on Friday, April 16, 2010 at 2:00 pm at the American Legion Mikado Post #254, with a meal following. Burial will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
