Glendon Earl Foss, 90, of, Lincoln (Lost Lake Woods Club), passed away March 15, 2010 peacefully at home with his family. Mr. Foss was born on February 21, 1920, in Detroit to Earl and Emma (Granau) Foss. He married Carol McClenahen on September 30, 1939. She preceded him in death on November 26, 1992. His second wife, Doris Keller Foss, preceded him in death in 1996. Mr. Foss is survived by his wife, Doris Junod Foss, and his three daughters; Nancy (James) Houser of Lincoln, Judith (Ernest) Delgado of Lincoln, and Leslie (Ronald) Corpolongo of Canton, five grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, his sister; Bernice Bernier, sister in law; Jean (McClenahen) Murdoch, brother in law, Keith Murdoch; three nieces and one nephew. Mr. Foss lived in Dearborn, until his retirement from Ford Motor Company in 1979, where he had been a purchasing agent. He and Carol then moved to Lincoln, MI. They soon became “snowbirds” and spent many wonderful months each year in Tucson, Arizona. He was an active member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Dearborn, and transferred to Spruce Lutheran Church at the time of his retirement. He served in the United States Marine Corps during WWII. He was a member of the Alpena Lions Club for several years. A memorial service will be held at Spruce Lutheran Church on Saturday, March 20, at 12 noon, Rev. Laraine Sundin will officiate. Interment will be at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia, MI. Cremation arrangements handled by Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
