Joan F. Sampson

Joan F. Sampson, 70, of Harrisville died Saturday July 1, 2006 at home. Born January 29, 1936 to Thomas and Caroline (Stein) Jackson in Detroit, she was raised in Madison Heights. On April 11, 1953 she married Leonard L. Sampson, they resided in Rochester, Utica and Clarkston, moving to Harrisville in 1980. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Sharon (Charles) Travis of Pontiac, one son, Leonard (Jean) of Grand Rapids, Eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; one sister, Violet Trumph of Harrisville and two Brothers, Leo Jackson of Washington State and Daniel Jackson of Pontiac. The funeral will be on Wednesday at 1 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home, Harrisville with visitation beginning at 11:00 A.M... Deacon Dennis Neigh will officiate. Burial will be in Mikado Cemetery.
