Josephine L. Slater

Josephine L. Slater,89, of Lincoln passed away Saturday, February 6, 2010 at home She was born January 7, 1921 to John and Catherine (Pudofuly) Buczek in Hawes Township (Lincoln). In March 1938 she married Oliver Slater. They had three children and were married 63 years until Oliver’s death on July 24, 2001. Josephine was a longtime cook at Lost Lake Woods Club. She also cooked at Mt. Maria Ski Lodge and restaurant and Lake Wood Shores. She enjoyed working in her garden, deer hunting, but especially enjoyed fishing. She is survived by one son, Robert (Judy) Slater of Lincoln and one daughter, Katheryn Hills of Orange Springs Fl, five grand children, nine great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. One son John Slater preceded her in death in December 1963. Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 11:00 A.m. until the funeral at 2: 00 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. Rev.
