Betty Jo Gilmore,84, of Lost Lake Woods Club, Lincoln, passed away January 24, 2010 in Worcester, Massachusetts with her family at her side. Betty Jo was born October 27, 1925 to William and Ethel (Braden) Stonestreet in Charleston WV. Raised in Charleston, she was Valedictorian at Stonewall Jackson High School. She graduated from West Virginia University, where she was in the first class of Medical Technologists. A life member of the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority, she worked at the Hopemont TB Sanitarium and also worked as a Chemistry Technician at Union Carbide. Following WWII Betty Jo married Daniel W. Gilmore. Moving from Iowa To Mt. Clemens MI. they raised three children, Daniel S. of Honolulu, Michael S. of Boston, Joseph of Honolulu and Mary E. of Worcester MA. She worked in a private health clinic, was a member of the Mt. Clemens Garden Club, the Mt. Clemens Methodist Church and later the Bethlehem Lutheran Church. In 1978 they moved to Sparta, NJ. After retirement, they moved to Lost Lake Woods. Her husband preceded her in death in 2003. In recent years, Betty Jo has lived near her daughter and family. In addition to her children, she is survived by six grandchildren. She was a member ot the Hope Lutheran Church of Hubbard Lake. Memorial services and interment have not yet been scheduled.
