Carole L. Campbell, 73, of Harrisville, passed away Monday, March 19, 2018 at Mid Michigan Medical Center-Alpena.

Born August 2, 1944 to Harold and Leora (Rushman) Reames in Detroit, MI, she was raised in Killmaster. On May 9, 1964, she married James Campbell in Harrisville. Carole was the Deputy Register of Deeds in Alcona County, retiring in 2013. She enjoyed travelling, and spending time with her grandchildren. Carole was active with the Alcona County Fair, serving on the Fair Board, and volunteering in the office during Fair Week. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Harrisville.

She is survived by five children, Michelle (John) Katona of Glennie, Pamela Campbell of Holt, Jim Campbell of Kalamazoo, Michael (Kim) Campbell of Roblin Manitoba, and Sandra (Michael Park) McPherson of DeWitt, seven grandchildren, James and Penelope Campbell, Layne and Tyler Campbell, and Ethan, Andrea, and Bella McPherson, two brothers, Duane (Althea) Reames, Larry (Rosemary) Reames, and one sister, Valerie (Walt) Joslin, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, James, on August 21, 1995, her sister Barbara Becker, and her brother Jerry Reames.

Mrs. Campbell is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where friends may call on Thursday, March 22, 2018 from 2:00 until 8:00. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Friday, March 23, 2018 from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Rev. Lawrence Boks will officiate.
