Roddy T. Rasmussen

Roddy T. Rasmussen, 56, of Spruce passed away Sunday, November 29, 2009 at his home. He was born September 14, 1953 in Alpena to Eli & Mary (Mansfield) Rasmussen, and was a lifelong resident of Spruce. Roddy married Mary Brilinski July 22, 1972. He worked at Thunder Bay Manufacturing Corporation, retiring when his health declined. Roddy was an avid hunter and enjoyed living on his hunting land. He watched the animals yearly as they made new trails through the woods where he often walked. He was a member of Ossineke Eagles Aerie # 3762 and a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. After retiring, he spent his time bird watching, visiting with friends and family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Rasmussen is survived by his wife, Mary, a son; Roddy A.(special friend Tracy), two daughters; Karen (Todd) Wortley of Black River , and Lindsey (Jason) Crevier, of Ossineke, two brothers; Warren (Charlotte) of Ossineke, and Richard (Judy) of Spruce, three sisters; Alice Moloney and Colleen Oliver, both of Spruce, and Anna (Ken) Braubender of Gaylord, six grandchildren; Kyle, Kayla & Nicholas Rasmussen, Aspen Wortley, Victoria Rowe, and Bradley Crevier, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Gauthier. Mr. Rasmussen is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln where visitation will be held Tuesday, December 1, 2009 from 4-8PM, and where the funeral service is at 1:00pm, Wednesday, December 2, 2009. Rev.
