Violet Emily LaForge

Violet LaForge, 86, of Harrisville died Monday, June 5, 2006 at Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. She was born September 28, 1919 to Walter and Mary (Smith) Hoppe in Hitchin England. On November 4, 1945 she was married to William LaForge. He preceded her in death on June 26, 1978. Violet is survived by her daughter Susan Laforge (Richard) Hynek of Black River, her son, Robert E. LaForge of Harrisville, eight grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Cassie Holmes, Blanche Boggust and Betty Larson all of England. Violet was a caring mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed antiques and gardening. She was loved very much and will be missed. Her family and friends honored her memory, Friday, June 9, 2006 at Gillies Funeral Home, Harrisville at 2 P.M., Rev. Lawrence Boks officiated.
