James H. Irwin, 74, of Lincoln (LLWC), formerly of Livonia, passed away Monday, January 22, 2018 at his home. Born August 27, 1943 to Clarence W. and Helen (Southerland) Irwin in Livonia, he was raised there. Jim served in the U.S. Army. He married Marilynn Wilkinson on May 8, 1965 in Detroit. They were residents of Westland and Livonia. Jim was a machinist with General Motors. In 2010, he retired and moved to Lost Lake Woods Club, where he had been a member since 1978. He was an avid hunter and golfer, and enjoyed woodworking and playing darts. Jim is survived by his wife, Marilynn, two daughters, Amy (Tim) Fogle of Livonia, and Abbie (Randy) Greco of Livonia, and four grandchildren, Ethan and Emma Fogle, and Leo and Charlie Greco. He was preceded in death by one sister, Donna Nunley. There will be a memorial luncheon Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Lost Lake Woods Clubhouse. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Michigan.
