Elmer Pinder, 88, of Lincoln, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2006 at Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. Born on May 18, 1918 to Stanley and Bertha (Elmer) Pinder in Haynes Township he resided in Alcona County most of his life. He married Lorayne McNeil on June 10, 1939, she preceded him in death on April 15, 1951. On August 20, 1951, he married Elvira Rooker, she preceded him in death on October 8, 2004. He was a member of Haynes Community Church and the Labor’s Local 1098 in Saginaw. He is survived by 4 daughters; Nora (David) Winkler of Lorida Fl, Martha (Charles) Rice of Lake Worth Fl, Shalda (Bill) Pettit of Harrisville, and Justina (Jeff) Anderson of Lincoln, 6 sons; Robert (Linda) of Wakefield RI, Stanley (Patricia) of Antioch CA, Allen (Deanna) of Alpena, James (Paula) of Anchorage AK, Thomas (Sherry) of Schertz TX, LeRoy (Mary) of Mt. Sterling KY; 32 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren; two brothers; Emery (Mary) and Cecil (Charlotte) both of Harrisville, and two sisters; Helen Sharboneau of Lincoln, and Ethel LaLonde of Canyon Lake TX. Also preceding him was a son, Don on April 10, 1964 and a grandson Timothy Rice. Mr. Pinder is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will take place on Friday, June 9 from 2 until 9 pm. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, June 10, at 10:00 AM at the funeral home, Rev. Claire Duncan officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Joy Cemetery.
