Marlene Ann Champagne

Marlene Ann Champagne, 70, of Harrisville, passed away Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Born January 6, 1939, to Clarence and Clara (LaParl) Zenker, in Lansing MI, she was raised in Fairview MI. She graduated from Fairview High School in 1958. On September 20, 1958, she married Roy Champagne in Barton City, where she lived most of her life. She was a beautiful person, always smiling, always happy, and always helpful. A Christian in every way, she always had a “God bless you, have a good day” for everyone she met. Marlene is survived by her husband Roy; three sons; Richard (Laura), Russell (Linda), and Ben Champagne, son-in-law; Greg Gach, nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren, sister; Sue (Gail) Bailey, brother-in-law; Raymond Winn, sister-in-law; Helen Zenker, mother-in-law; Marie Jacob, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her daughter; Christine Sue Gach, two brothers; Richard and Don Zenker, and a sister; Merreta Winn. There will be a Memorial Service for Mrs. Champagne on Saturday, November 7, at 11:00 am, at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
