Helma A. Lee

Helma A. Lee, 95, of Mikado, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. Born June 28, 1922 to Harry and Isabel (Cramer) Westcott in Grand Ledge, MI, she was raised in Oscoda MI. Helma worked as a secretary for the Oscoda Schools. On April 27, 1944, she married Fred C. Lee and they were residents of Mikado. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Mikado. Helma served as the Mikado Township Clerk for many years and was a longtime member of the Mikado Friendship Club. Helma is survived by her daughter, Diana (Lynn) Boger of Hanover Park, IL, her son, Stanley (Connie) Lee of Mikado, six granddaughters, Lynette Gilbert, Tammy (David) Doiel, Rhonda (Daniel) Hester, Amy (Seth) Meyers, Clarinda (Jonathan) Halk, and Ruthann (Roly) Delgadillo, and 22 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred, on May 16, 1986, and her sister, Margaret Sands. Mrs. Lee is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln where friends may call on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 4:00 until 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Calvary Baptist Church in Mikado from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM. Rev. Tim Steiner will officiate.
