Phillip A. Sautter, passed from this life on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Saginaw. He was born on May 5, 1952 to Enid and Leo Sautter in Harrisville, MI, where he was raised and resided most of his life. He will be missed dearly by his loving wife, Kathryn; sisters Colleen Ziegler and Leah Mackinnon; brothers Donald (Kay) and Randall; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Lottie Draves. Phil was a farmer, mechanic, welder, and builder, but music was his passion. Some of his early memories were of his grandmother Martha playing piano and his father Leo playing violin; music was a central part of his life. Phil played saxophone, drums, guitar and sang with his heart. He shared his love of music with many friends and family, and over the years formed many musical friendships. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. There will be a celebration of Phil’s life at a later date. Donations in Phil’s memory can be made to the Alcona High School Band Program, 51 N. Barlow Road, Lincoln, MI 48742.
