Virginia S. Dudler, 85, of Lincoln died Sunday, May 28, 2006 at Alpena Regional Medical Center. She was born on October 5, 1920, to Roy and Julia (Souler) McKay in Gilford Michigan. She was raised in Barton City, and was a graduate of Oscoda High School. On June 1, 1941, she married Michael Dudler in Lincoln. They were residents of Royal Oak, before returning to Lincoln in 1973. Virginia was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lincoln. She was responsible for the delivery of the Bay City Times, Northeastern Shopper, and the Alpena News in Alcona County for many years. Survivors include five daughters, Julia (Larry) Sullivan of Satellite Beach Fl, Caroline (George) Wentzel of Troy, Beverly (Herb) Acord of Glennie and Pamela (Daniel) Reid of Erie, four sons, Michael of Lincoln, Paul (Linda) of Monroe, David of Florida and Greg of Lincoln, thirteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren, one sister, Elaine Medor of Lincoln and two brothers, Theron Franklin of Waterford and Don Franklin of Harrisville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael on November 23, 1995, two brothers, Robert Franklin and Richard Franklin, and by a sister Vandetta King. Mrs. Dudler is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln where friends may call from 4- 9 P.M. on Thursday and from 11:00 A.M. until the funeral at 1:00 P.M.on Friday. Burial will be in Twin Lakes Cemetery, Lincoln.
