Betty L. Dumont, 82, of Mikado, passed away Monday, October 9, 2017, at home. Born October 20, 1934 to Leslie and Lorraine (London) Hughes in Mikado, she was raised there. On September 25, 1954, she married Frank Dumont, and they resided in Pontiac and Lake Orion before retiring to Mikado. Betty was a devoted homemaker, who enjoyed crochet and working in her flower gardens and watching the deer. She was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Mikado. Betty is survived by five sons, Wayne William (Tina Howell), David Brian, Richard Michael, Kevin Patrick (Mary), and Michael Stephen Dumont, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and three sisters, Laura (Frank) Hancsak, Edna (Gail) Bowden, and Mary Beaubien. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank on July 6, 2013, her daughter, Vicki Madar in 2006, and her brother-in-law, Carl Beaubien. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
